[Chinese Traditional Wedding] Malaysia Wedding Photographer
A great experience of witnessing a full frame of Chinese Traditional Wedding held at the Peranakan Baba Nyonya Mansion, Penang.ร‚ The event was graced and led by 2 experienced and passionate Baba Nyonya heritage enthusiasts – Michael and Lillian. Fully equiped from traditional attire to precise decorations of wedding room. The event started with putting on make up and hair buns and followed by dressing up for the wedding. The groom and his entourage set off with the bride’s sedan to greet the bride. Upon reaching the bride’s house the groom then hands over a ribbon to the bride and guided the bride to the sedan where they then set off to the groom’s residence. The entourage led by a group of trumpet blowers created an exciting moment. Adding on to the sound of trumpet, fire crackers were light up to welcome the bride. The groom and bride then head for the bedroom for the unveiling ceremony. This then followed by releasing the chicken ceremony where it is believed that the first chicken that comes out will determine the sex of their first born baby. This tradition has long lost and is not been implemented in today’s modern wedding.ร‚ The […]

[Two Consequtive Evenings at E&O Hotel Penang] Malaysia Photographer
Victor & I spent 2 consequtive evenings at one of the finest hotel in Penang – Eastern & Oriental Hotel. Both of us enjoyed so much that we almost forgot that we were actually on assignment ๐Ÿ˜› Yesterday evening was the E&O Corporate Showcase – “Return to Elegance”. It was a party for the hotel staffs to spend some good time with corporate partners of the hotel. JAC is proud to be the official photographer for this event. Victor & I got to know a lot of the hotel staffs. Some are HR managers whom we don’t usually see them walking around the lobby. Some are good old friends we meet everytime when there is a photography session there. Micheal, the general manager, is the one whom we meet at lot ๐Ÿ˜› It was ironic that one of the major sponsor of this event was Canon. While both Victor and I are Nikonian. Anyway, it was our pleasure too to meet with many of the Canon important people such as Ruddiee Khaw, one of the famous sport shooter in Penang, who use Canon. This evening, I attended a very special and romantic wedding. ร‚ย I received a call from Mark asking […]

It’s Hard When You Don’t Know How
I had been trying to figure out how to post a picture on this blog. Things are so hard when you don’t know how. I used to be using the Blogger.com, a product from my favourite company – Google. Unfortunately, our blog has not been setup on that platform ๐Ÿ™ Anyway, I was just trying to share the first Muslim wedding that I’d recently done. After venturing into wedding photography for more than 1 year, I had finally given the opportunity to serve this couple. Thanks to Christopher for inviting me to tag along ๐Ÿ™‚ We attempted a couple of new techniques with Fahmida & Irshath. I personally love all the photos taken. Fahmida’s dress was very nice and the location was very attractive too – it’s the famous Penang E&O Hotel, one of my (and many others) favourite spot for photography. Even though Irshath was a bit stiff at the beginning, we manage to ‘loosen up’ him and had him smile like a kid ร‚ย ๐Ÿ™‚ Since I haven’t figured out how to post a picture here, maybe I just share this link to our gallery. It should be very easy to spot this album that I have been talking […]
