[A Chat with Dato’ Jimmy Choo …] Penang Event Photographer

November 22, 2009 gave a golden opportunity to meet Dato’ Jimmy Choo in person – a famous icon in the fashion world. JAC Photography was invited to photo shoot the portraits of Dato’ Jimmy Choo at the Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa. Teck Siong and I geared up for this occasion.

We were also invited to a fine dining with Dato’ and his guests consisting of the Penang Chief Minister, YAB Mr. Lim Guan Eng, Miss Ooi Geok Ling, MD of Penang Global Tourism and along with a few famous bloggers such as Helen Ong from www.helenong.com, CK Lam from www.what2seeonline.com and the Rasa Sayang hotel’s management.

Dato’ Jimmy Choo is a person filled with passion and humbly spoke from his heart. He shared his secret of success and how he made it to his status today – SINCERE. Being sincere to his partnership, customers, friends and family he gain respect and trust. Even the late Princess Diana trusted Dato’ Jimmy Choo and designed all of her shoes just because of sincerity.

Dato’ Jimmy said, just being sincere to everyone that you deal with, will in return gain respect, trust and eventually, builds up the relationship to become a friend. The late Princess Diana became his friend and he had designed many special collections for her. This have also became the turning point of Dato’ Jimmy Choo’s involvement in the arena of fashion. Since then, there was no turning back and Dato’ Jimmy Choo continue to become one of the most famous shoes designer ever known.

JAC Photography learn so much from how we can transform passion into career. Eventually, transform a customer relationship into a long lasting friendship in business just by doing something basic – sincere. We were inspired by Dato’ Jimmy to continue promote Penang as the place to be and enjoy the benefits of Penang – our home town.

A chat with Dato’ Jimmy Choo – an eye opener to just stay basic and sincere.
